Wrong to compare with Nazi - better to compare with Stalin?

Why does the same not apply to Stalin?

Why is it always wrong to say that someone openly racist or fascist is, well, racist or fascist, but it is totally fine to accuse anyone who wants tax-paid welfare state of being a Stalinist?

Of course a lot happened! The former Axis Powers were remade into thriving democracies!

Well...

if you hate certain folks more than you hate others based upon race, religion, ethnicity, etc. then its fair to compare you to Hitler.

But if you are an equal opportunity a**hole, and hate everyone equally ...then its fair to compare you to Stalin! :D
