I'm Roman Catholic but i wonder does there are any Aspies who are JWs?

I know one.

They aren't as bad as all that. They are as nutty as any Christian. Not any worse the Mormons.

I find it funny an hypocritical that people single them out as a cult.

JW were also persecuted by the Nazis, and were sent to concentration camps.

Only polish people who happened to be mostly catholic were also singled out, other Catholics weren't and the Pope at the time effectively appeased Hitler.

The craziest thing they do is refuse to vote. I don't agree with that, but each to their own.

As I understand it they have a theology that is of comparable weirdness to that of the Mormons. Weird in the sense that it derives from Christianity but is too far out to be considered to be Christianity by the rest of Christendom.

There are some around here.All nice people.They show up once in awhile to drop off the Watchtower newsletter.Sometimes I don't go to the door,they leave it anyway.They have a nice afterlife,too bad it's not real.The pictures always show a happy family frolicking with tigers and other wild animals.They are all friendly and now eat only vegetables.

When my sister went to school, the school never celebrated Halloween because there was one Jehovah's Witness in the school.

In other words, the JWs are just like SJWs. They are triggered over the most minor crap.

Ironically, most of these religious nuts love to mock SJWs. They're hypocrites.

Anyone who think that Halloween is a "Satanic" holiday is a hypersensitive wuss.

Some of the Southern Baptists get all bent out of shape over Halloween.If they let the kids trick or treat they make them dress up as Bible characters.Except the Devil.

JW's don't bother anybody. Just don't answer the doorbell if it rings.

They just believe in trying to actively recruit people.

There is no racial or ethnic prejudice within the JW ideology.

They usually don't let their children marry outside the "faith," though.

... and yet conservatives are always mad about "homosexual recruitment".

Why aren't conservatives upset over JW recruitment?

Apparently JWs don't celebrate Halloween is because they have a problem with random people showing up at their door.

But seriously, the traditions of Halloween originally started out as European rituals that were done to keep *away* satanic beings and spirits. Also It's also my favorite holiday. Although I think it's unfair that I'm not supposed to trick-or-treat as an adult.

Go ahead. It's a free country!

They refuse blood transfusions and organ transplants. And they reserve the right to make decisions accordingly for their children. I don't care if they vote. I don't care if they celebrate holidays or birthdays. I don't care that they think heaven is reserved for them and them only. I don't care if they go to church or on what days they choose to do so. But I have a bit of an issue with people who signal up front that they, if put in that situation, will let their children suffer and die for the sake of their faith.

I had one as a long-distance friend for many years.
Unfortunately, she was apparently a narcissist.
Finally it went too far.
I ended up unfriending her and going no contact a few years ago.

Well ... what did you expect?

She never even told me she was a JW for years ...
... was incredibly deceitful that way.
So the expectations that were built up were false,
and the physical distance helped her keep up the pretense.
