The philosophy of Stoicism has so much to offer the modern world, which is why I was angered by the idiotic study on a recent thread suggesting that stoicism (albeit with a small C) is misogynistic.

I'm not quite sure what that means. Should we outsource emotional and psychological stability to the whims of other people? Is more politics what we need to be more sane and balanced?

You can say externals have changed a fair amount, we haven't though, and that's something John Gray often comes back to as well.
