completely possessed by manifest destiny sort ... when all other countries are no more no less than self-interested ..

It's hard to say, there are definitely a lot of them that are delusional. I don’t think it's the majority though.

The whole western world is delusional.

We are chained by the lies of democracy, egalitarianism, materialism, nihilism, and godlessness.

Delusion is a disorder of thinking and applies to individuals only, and what is being noticed by the outside world is misinformation.

This is due to the polarization that encourages joining a side. Each ideology engages in competition with the other at the expense of the nation or its national unity.

If you watch Dave Ramsey (Get-out-of-debt personality) you would think so.

this country is over.. it has little to do with russian interference or chinese competition or indian freewheeling or middle east quagmire or mexican illegal immigrants or black lives matter or redneck upheaval.. see what I mean?

Yes.

They think they're the only country which is founded on freedom.

Lots of countries were founded on freedom, Ireland and France for eg. But they act like it's just them.

If it wasn't for the French revolution, the American revolution would have been a lot harder and maybe never happened.

I love America. But it isn't the only country formed on good values.

You're absolutely right about everything....except for one:

the French Revolution happened AFTER the American Revolution.

Ah ok! And the Irish one (which was too small and which ended up with sectarian and sexist ethics, not what was set out for) a long time after.

However, all three played off each other and I don't like the isolationism that some people have in all three countries.

Yep. We did get the Statue of Liberty from the French as a gift.

I'm a person who tries to be aware of the world around me.

Yeah I don't mean you. I know you don't.

I mean people who say things like 'I love America because it's the only free country in the world' or more commonly 'the only country in the world founded on freedom'.

It isn't.

I'm sure I read this on here lately, if not then it was on Reddit. Even countries like the UK which have a monarchy have a great deal of freedom in them.

In any nation, you have your nationalist/isolationist types.

Most of the time, they are not pleasant people to hang out with. There’s usually some irrational anger within those types.

I don't know a lot about USA's history, but I'm pretty sure that when the so called country of freedom was founded, the freedom was for white males and no one else.

And then it evolved and included woman and minorities. ...most of the planet had slaves at that time, so why do people like to pretend that america is the only country that had slaves? There was a global slave trade in which Africa made them slaves and traded them.

I think america is the most diverse country on this planet, in which all races have equal rights. Kinda funny how people point towards a collection of 10 thousand white supremacists in a country with 325 million and act as if the country is riddled with white supremacists. It's such a racist place that immigrants move from all over the globe to América. If it's such a horrible place, why are there millions of people waiting in line to come here??
