Trump pretty much said he wants to follow in the footsteps of China's dictator Xi Jinping and become "president for life".

Unless there's some new comments, he was joking.

I think Trump would be willing to be president for life, but I don't think this country's institutions are so degraded that it could actually happen.

That would mean he'd have to wait until China's dictator dies...but even then he wouldn't be eligible, as he isn't Chinese. Either way, I don't care what he wants to do in China. After all isn't he in his mid 70's? How much time does he have left to screw things up in China anyway?

Just because its unlikely it could happen, doesn't necessarily mean Trump was joking...he could actually want that even if its not allowed. Also jokes are supposed to be funny, the president indicating he'd like to sh*t on the constitution to become president for life isn't funny.

I am sick of Trump and his GOP constantly taking a sh*t on this country, because that is what they are doing.

Agreed 100%. I wouldn't take anything that monster says lightly. We're talking about a president who threaten to destroy the entire country of Iran on Twitter. That would basically be genocide.

Buuut if he did succeed and somehow became 'president for life' and died in a few years due to old age and an unhealthy lifestyle, what if a younger and healthier monster replaced him as "president for life"?

I think we would be screwed.
