Wouldn't it be nice if Heaven was real?

Yes indeed, and I refuse to believe you have to believe in Jesus in order to get there. Just doesn't seem fair that the millions of good people in this world who aren't Christians don't get to go there. :|

If you're a person in the Baha'i faith, you believe that all religions are correct.

My best friend ever was a Baha'i. I have a lot of respect for her faith.

I once had an adjunct instructor (called a "reader" in the UK) who was a Baha'i. She taught a course on nutrition.

I consider myself to be an omnist and a solitary witch (but not a 'wiccan'). I believe all religions contain truth to them, but I don't follow any religion. I have my own spiritual beliefs. :)

I take what I can from all beliefs I learn about. Especially anything in regards to magick practices.

As for heaven, what if it is nothing more than an eternal sleep free of pain and suffering? And while we lay in our dormant state as our cells decompose and give life to other living organisms... maybe that could be kind of like reincarnation? Life recycles itself and we living organisms are all connected.

Maybe we live on through the living beings that consume us? And they live on through us when we consume them? Nature and all that. :flower:

Maybe the earth is like a purgatory and once it completely dries up we will be released from here and can go towards this so-called "heaven"? :chin:

Of course beauty is entirely subjective, but I'm amused that I personally find that image to reflect a gloomy, overcast sky with some scraggly trees which makes me feel more sullen than anything else. I would certainly hope Heaven is a bit more grander-looking than that. :P

You could certainly post a PPR-type entry to offset this impression :P

As you well know, Biblical studies evokes quite a rich fountain of serious inquiry.

I suppose my answer would be as follows - if it's real it's most likely chaos mathematical, like nature, and it's quite likely filled with all kinds of self-organizing systems with fractal geometry, like nature, so if - when we die - we go from Earth's level of nature to another level of nature then there probably isn't too much reason to expect something less beautiful and even if it's only as beautiful as what we see in our lives the loss of a body seems, at least per enough people's accounts, to be as ecstatic as wandering around on MDMA if not more so. I'd say take that as you may and if it sounds like your thing look forward to it, if it sounds horridly dry - lol, tough isht, it's happening to all of us and if you want to side-step it you may need to get yourself on the Kurzweil 'upload my brain to a computer' train.

I think it's a very pretty sky. That's the good thing about Heaven. Everyone can have their own interpretation.
