The Republicans did this in 2012 and lost the elections. Any time you divide a party too much it is going to fall apart.

I'd hope both sides lose. Both are not looking too good as far as credentials...for starters, I don't like the decay I saw in infrastructure under Obama. For finishers, I don't like the decay in standards I'm seeing under Trump.

Twist has a point here that's worth considering. While the majority of middle America democrats want nothing to do with the Squad's radical agenda (and they don't), many Twist's age embrace the Squad's platform. In the short term then, the division may rip the Democratic party apart and it may fail miserably...in the long term, the long game, it may win out.

When JFK said in his inaugural address, "Ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what you can do for your country," we heard his words with ears that had been conditioned to receive this message and hearts that did not resist it.

Today's democrats would call his words racist and nationalistic. The squad is merely a symptom, not the disease.
