Interesting...

How would one prove this?

That's the problem with philosophy... nothing except God can prove it...

Philosophy is like anarchism... no boundaries and distant goals...

That would be the most awesome soccer game ever!

I once heard a pastor say that "Philosophy is like a blind man in a dark room searching for a black hat that doesn't exist!". :P

Why is it 50/50 ???

Furthermore, saying any one person is 100% good or 100% evil is not possible.

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION

Maybe it'll all cancel out then and we'll unexist.
Except I'll still be here because I don't do anything anyway.

If you think there should be an equal ammount of good and evil in the world, then you must have underestimated the nature of evil and the ramifications it has.

Part of the problem is how a person defines evil I guess... I would have no idea of the proportions. I define evil as that which causes harm, and the capacity for both evil and good exists in all of us. Also if an evil action (i.e. with malicious intent) causes positive effects, what proportion of the action remains evil. Energies are such a primal thing... I cannot concieve of the mechanism which keeps the whole thing running in some form of equilibrium. I like chaos theory though... :?

My Philosophy? Summed up in 1 phrase: "When the **** hits the fan, get a new fan, cause **** happens, and there ain't anything you can do about it."

hmmm AntiEverything this is close to mine. I say that everyone is as good as they are bad and visa versa.

So another way of saying it is with your 50/50 ratio. :P

I like your philosophy.

Well if one person here will say that they are 100% good, i will confirm myself as 100% evil and we have a start towards counting people going.

Lol, I beg to differ! I maintain that all people are inherently good, and have the potential for both good and evil.

Well, i dont agree with anti, but i think it is an interesting idea.

Personally I see all things as a result of phyiscal laws which happen to exist, and no matter how complex everything can be traced back to these basic understandings. And people and life is just one of the very very interesting things to come about. And everything is beautiful and interesting and signifigant or insignifigant as everything else. And i will be at peace when i die. To whatever fate i might hold.

You're assuming that "evil" and "good" are things that truly exists, and someone contains a certain amount of "evil" or "good" "essence".

And then you make the assumption that it's a 50/50 split. What's that based on? Maybe because it sounds satsifying? Very ying-yang!
