I'm feeling very disillusioned with liberalism right now

No I'm not becoming a conservative and I sure as HELL am not becoming a Trump supporter! It's just that I've had the disheartening realization that liberals can be just as nasty, ignorant, and hypocritical as the conservatives that they hate. For a group that claims to care about "tolerance" they do a LOT of hating. Oh and they often lie about things too. CNN lies just as much as Fox news does. I'm fed up with them. I probably won't vote for anybody this upcoming election because I refuse to vote for a choice between the frying pan or the fire. So congradulations liberals, you've succeeded in convincing me not to vote for any of the schmucks running for your Democratic party. I guess that makes me another "deplorable" in your eyes.

Center: "They're protesting the government."
Left: "They're not protesting the government; they're engaging in civil disobedience!"
Right: "They're not protesting the government; they're inciting a bloody coup!"

One of the things that really bothers me with liberal views on gender (and race) is that I get the feeling many of them would be happy having somebody like Mary Tudor (aka Bloody Mary who burned English Protestants at the stake) as our first female president just as long as she was a woman and not a man. And GOD HELP any man who doesnt want to support our first female president! Clearly he must be a sexist pig for not agreeing with her policies the same way any white person who dared to not support Obama was a racist, right?

They judge people for trivial things like race and gender just as much as conservatives do.

If I am who I support and I support nobody, then who am I?

And I'm frusterated at how hard it is to decide a trustworthy candidate to vote for because the news does nothing but lie to us. They don't really present the facts anymore, they present opposing biased opinions and each side tries to discredit the other with slander.

Liberals are quick to jump on anything wrong the Republicans do but won't acknowledge the terrible things their own Democrats have done.

And vice versa.

What did CNN lie about? I'm not arguing, I'm just curious.

CNN is supposedly biased toward the "left" and dispenses "fake news" (per Trump).

I don't really find them to be all that "left-leaning."

But I still would rather get my news from organizations which are deemed to be more objective than most (like NPR, Reuters).

I'm sick of all the biased news.

What the media in many places does is skew things towards their organization's (or the reporter's own) ideology.

CNN and Fox do that to at least a certain degree.

It is rare that they blatantly lie. They just manipulate.

I feel so tired by the "You're either with me or against me!" crap with politics. I'm tired of the hate, tired of the craziness, and tired of the turmoil.

I don't think it's a battle of left vs right. It's really a battle of up vs down. The elitist in this country have turned us against each other.
