I have been reading about Stoicism. It is really interesting. One can simply decide to be happy, despite external circumstances. There is even the idea about the Animus Mundo: the Soul of the World. Perhaps, just perhaps, I can learn more and more about it.

Stoicism is greek-flavoured buddhism, if that is of any help for your search.

Seneca's life and death were classic models of applied stoicism in the face of absurdity and just about certain doom that did in the end come to fruition.
