Things I hear from my family on a daily basis
“Beto O’Rourke’s daddy bailed him out. He’s also not Mexican!”
“Ted Cruz should cater to the Mexicans!”
“Obama tried to sell us out to the Muslims!”
“Democrats wanted the wall and they’re mad Trump is doing it instead of them!”
(My older brother especially thinks this) “Trump helped my family and my business!”
“Mike Pence is a Christian so he’s a good man!”
“Bernie Sanders is a f*****g socialist!”
(Anything negative about Trump) “That’s fake news!”
“Muslims don’t worship the same God we do!”
“Wiccans? Ha! Do they really think they have magical powers?”
(My mother especially espouses this and she’s a doctor of all things) “Men should never wear protection! Women should always take the pill!”
(My stepfather says this despite being a Vietnam veteran) “Weed is bad! Jimi Hendrix smoked weed! Weed smokers are depressed losers!”
Why was I born to my family?
Be greatful for them.
We all have different views. Different viesw are good. If everyone felt the same life would be boring. I am not saying this because I agree or dissagree with those views. What I am saying that if your views are different to your families, it is fine. Your family may be right or wrong on each subject. Is ok. Enjoy your family because they have views and are able to express them.
Ok, your views are different. That is fine too. ![]()

They harangue Marknis because he has different views than them.
The views Marknis says his family has----are the views of people who are insular and ignorant.
My brother talks that same crap.
I wish I could prove them wrong but I haven’t been able to. If things don’t change soon, I will snap.
These are some things I’ve seen a very militant Christian and anti-atheist day:
At any rate, promoting "ultra-rationalism" like you do, as Western society has done in the last few decades, is a path that leads straight to selfishness and individualism, decay and death, all the while leaving the opportunity to cultures (like Muslim countries) who do reproduce and form strong families, to gradually invade and take over. So it's only exacerbating the very issue that you purport to be again.
There is a saying about this: God laughs at men who complain about consequences for which they love the causes
I’ve never heard that saying before but if it does exist, it’s probably another pseudo-Biblical phrase like “God helps those who help themselves.”
He also stated this:
I married a proud Christian, and she is already bearing my child, who will be raised as a Christian with strong traditional values, of course. While I am doing that, atheists like you are avoiding having any children and engage in increasingly depraved behavior, because they see existence as pointless. They will wither and die off, while people of faith will be the ones who will ultimately rule the world.
You always struck me as mentally unstable and disturbing, from what I've seen of you so far. So, it doesn't surprise me to learn that you are an atheist.
He’s boasted about marrying a woman from the Phillipines but still lives in the US and roots for Trump.

Hang this up at your desk and use it to motivate yourself to give college another try.

I doubt the majority of Wiccans truly believe in magic(k).
Bible Belters generally think you either worship God or Satan.
BS.
Both Muslims and Christians worship the same one Jewish god of the Old Testament.
Kind-of sort-of, but not really. It's basically two separate but adjacent traditions with a converging trajectory. The ancient Israelites were polytheists who worshipped Yahweh and his wife Asherah/Astarte/Istar, but eventually transitioned to monotheism (there are still a few verses in the Bible mentioning God's wife.). Meanwhile, in pre-islamic Arabia Allah (it's more a title than a name, lit. "the God") was worshipped in another polytheistic pantheon alongside his wife Allat and several other deities both very localized and with equivalents in both Babylonian and Greek mythology. When Mohammed came along with his "final revelation" he certainly...borrowed more than a little from the Judeo-Christian side of things, but with the oral trasmission of traditions and the influence of the culture and traditions more immediately adjacent to him, I'm not sure it's accurate to say what he produced is exactly the same.
