Our friend Darmok doesn't appear to accept the reality of climate change or any need to move away from fossil fuels etc. All the old folk I talk to have noticed the gradual climate changes.
It is hard to accept the integrity and credibility of a group of people who consistently peddle nonsense predictions which never eventuate.
Don't get me wrong,
Firstly, I believe in climate change since "Climate Change" has always happened and is always happening.
Secondly, I find it hard (impossible) to believe humanity isn't influencing the environment to some degree.
The problem for many people is that they don't like being treated like mugs to service someone else's political agenda.
"Useful Idiots":
Quote:
n political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause's goals, and who is cynically used by the cause's leaders.[1][2] The term was originally used during the Cold War to describe non-communists regarded as susceptible to communist propaganda and manipulation.[1] The term has often been attributed to Vladimir Lenin,[3] but this attribution is unsubstantiated

Catastrophizing about a no return point causing an extinction event simply doesn't "Cut the Mustard" with more informed individuals.
We are in an "Ice Age" at the moment and the earth's climate does alternates between warmer and kooler conditions.
My understanding is that the amount of polar ice that we have atm is not typical.
I.E. The earth "normally" doesn't have as much ice as it has now.
Please take this statement in context.
If there is a problem with environmental compliance determined by some groups, could it have something to do the absolute BS that people have been fed for many years?
May I suggest that Chicken Little goes to the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages and legally change his/her name in addition to grabbing a pair of "Groucho Marx" glasses with attached big nose, eyebrows and moustache?
I think we have seen enough of that turkey, err, I mean chicken.
