There is something more than a bit addicting about History, early 20th Century History in particular. For, though I have always hated the Bolsheviks and the Nazis as much as any, and though I am as thoroughly disgusted and horrified about what they did to their respective victims in their respective Prison Camp Systems, I cannot help but think about them. I even wonder why, now that I think of it!

I think it’s really common for people to be fascinated by those times. The History Channel shows documentaries on Hitler and the Nazis all the time because they get such huge ratings.

It’s such blatant and obvious evil that people find it endlessly fascinating. Sensationalism appeals to everyone on some level.

I’m drawn in at times, but I mostly need to stay away because I find it so distressing it makes me sick to my stomach. Anne Frank would be amazed to know how much time someone across the world has spent thinking about her.
