If you not Atheist, would you date someone is Atheist? I was wondering. I’m not religious, I never got baptized.

I think it would depend on how religious the individual is.

I’m an atheist and wouldn’t date someone who was very religious or conservative, not that he or she would want to date me, anyway. I would date someone who has liberal religious or spiritual beliefs.

Similarly, some strict groups only want to date someone who’s of the same faith. People with a liberal faith probably wouldn’t care as much and could even be fine with dating an atheist. Some Christians still want to date other Christians even if they belong to a different sect, though.

It depends on the individual. If you met someone on a dating sight, they are probably fairly open since they aren’t just sticking to people in their church.

Compatibility is important. Some differences are good but lots of them can present challenges, especially when they involve core values.

To make it work there needs to be common ground, or you both will just be pulling in different directions, so one could put a whole host of different subjects in, ones religion being one of them to fathom out if it would work. That is what dating is all about. Dating should be enjoyed. But obviously, some people one may date are not going to be compatible. This part of dating. It does not mean that you or the other person are bad people. It just means that you are not that compatible.
However, one may stumble on just the right person and all should go well. Of course there will be moments. Life can be like that, but when one has found the right person, and one knows it is the right person, and the other half knows that too, you will both learn to accept each others minor differences as one has love.

The fact that you didn't get baptised doesn't mean you have to be atheist.

Atheism is a choice that you can make, even if you've been baptised or raised with any other faith.

Dating choices depend on the people involved. It depends how important religion (or atheism) is their lives, and whether or not the couple are tolerant of each other's thoughts, ideas and traditions.

Depends what you mean by 'atheist'.

I don't think it would be a problem unless she was the iconic person to walk into a bar with a vegan and crossfitter, where everyone knew they were an atheist, vegan, and crossfitter because they told the whole place within two minutes. Usually when someone's central identity is something like (or woke!) that it's a red flag that all kinds of other machinery is busted.

I don't judge people based on their beliefs all I ask for the other person to do the same.

When I was younger I was agnostic very liberal supported the assult weapon ban of the 90's
Intentionally listened to certain metal music to annoy Christians.

Now I believe in God, I am pro gun, and pro constitution

it doesn't make any difference

as a child i was raised in the roman catholic rite, went to sunday school for years ad had my first communion in 2005 when my uncle still had hair.

this is a fact, but it feels so long ago now that it's as i'm describing a different person entirely
