Brits always say every year that the bottom half of the UK are going to be buried under 10 feet of snow ever since the big freeze we had in 2010, even though the last few winters have rarely gone below freezing, but people still believe the false weather predictions.

Brits can't greet each other without saying "ain't it cold/hot/wet/dull/windy/foggy?".

Most young Brits think getting blotto every weekend is fantastic, and if you don't like getting drunk people think there's something wrong with you.

Every female (not me) dyes their hair the opposite from their natural colour (blondes dye their hair black, and darker-haired people dye their hair blonde, or they dye their hair different shades of brown or mauve).

A lot of Brits I know hate the royals because they're jealous of them for being rich and privileged. I happen to like the royals, especially the Queen.

A lot of Brits have the "Christmas is for children" attitude. How dull!

We ain't perfect!

Many of my favorite literary figures and works were and are British.

Rainy.

Green grass.

Pretty countryside, especially the areas with rolling hills and pastures, rocky cliffs, and moors.

Lots of castle ruins. We don’t have that in the US.

Well-known and distinctive comedic sense which differs from typical American humor but translates well nonetheless.

Americans have more nasty things to say about other Americans (of different races, creeds, regions, etc) than they do about the Brits.

The Beatles were first White musicians to be almost as popular among Blacks as anibg Whites in America. And the Beatles served White America large helpings of the Black Delta Blues.

As a child, I thought British people were really special people, because the British pound was worth 2.2 for $1.

Before 1971, the Pound was actually worth about $5 LOL

Because it was 280 Pence to the pound, 20 Shillings to the Pound, until they decimalized the currency in 1971. I remember the day they did it. It was announced on US radio.

Adorably eccentric, modest with the best accent.

To my ears a Brit saying something even the most working class cockney accent sounds more educated than an American saying the same thing somehow.

They're OK. They don't come across as the friendliest people on the planet but if you stop a random brit and ask them something they're nearly always quite polite and helpfull. You have to catch them off guard sometimes and then they let their guards down. The society for most parts isn't too uniform and where it is you don't need to go far to get away from it. I like that.

I have no problems with British folks. I've had some nice, pleasant conversations on railroad trains with "regular" British folks.

They are much more polite within public transportation than New York people. New Yorkers can get rude in the subway. They are much better out of the subway.

My only question to Brits is this: why did you all elect comedian , and Trump impersonator, John Di Dominico as your prime minister?

There is no way that Boris Johnson, and John Di Dominico aren't one and the same. 8O

Both sound like Trump, but neither looks much like Trump, but both look uncannily like each other!

Do the British say, "Yo, dude, whassup"?

Or would that get you marked as a "LOW CLASS BUFFOON"?

Seems like British pride themselves on culture, class and wit, whereas Americans are OK with being crude, classless and witless.

Class prejudice.
Bad teeth.
Live in their glory days of the past.
Gave us Shakespeare.
Gave us James Bond.
Planted the seeds that became America.

People who actually regard themselves as British tend to be thick Tories

If you regard yourself as from your (labour voting) local area or Scottish or Irish it's different

People who actually regard themselves as British miss the empire/want Brexit/want rid of immigrants more than they want better conditions for themselves in the workplace or with benefits or with the NHS

Some people on these islands are good and smart though. Like me. Tend not to be the type who fly union jacks

Everyone is less thick than the Yanks unless the Yanks are Bernie Bros. It's not a high bar to be smarter than a redneck and I'm starting to think England has its own rednecks (inbred rural people)

People abroad think the Brits are posh mostly because there's so much forelock tugging, really the Brits are chavs who can't think of a better way for themselves to be treated and are happy to be treated badly if it sticks it to the immigrants, the poc and the gays

Too many old people here read the Sun or the Mail. Young people tend to be smarter. That's because old people didn't go to uni or mix with people from outside their own town or village.

There are a lot of towns in England I wouldn't bother going to because they're 1 run down and 2 full of these kinds of attitudes. I've lived in them in the past. Even lived in the countryside which is the worst. Had to argue with some stupid woman that thought Enoch Powell was right. She was a proud Brit

Can't even bring themselves to criticise the monarchy after Prince Andrew scandal

(Yeah I'm being rude but you asked an aspie to be honest what did you expect)

Essex is full of chavs, obviously not everyone but there are a lot. There are a lot of chavs outside of Essex too. And the posh, rich, snobby people tend to hide away, making everywhere seem so common.

They seem to have a weird class prejudice. I'm on disability benefit. I know a lot of my friends who either struggle to find work, are on disability benefit or are in low paying jobs like call centre work. But we're uni educated. They hate us for it and they hate the middle class in general. Not even really sure someone IS middle class if they work in a call centre/delivering takeaway, aren't looked after by mummy and daddy and happen to be in debt to a uni.

But the same people who hate the middle class for being posh - admire the rich and are prepared to vote Tory.

Doesn't make sense. Don't see why they can't just be proud to be working class and work for the people. Set up their own socialist party if they don't like Labour.
