It doesn't feel like freedom to me. We've gone from being part of a community of 500 million, who can stand up for themselves in the world, and where I voted in elections to the EU Parliament last year, to a tiny island of 60 million who the rest of the world can push around, and we'll have little say in it. Voting to join was, I think, the first time I voted when I was 18, and although, like most big organisations, it's far from perfect, I've no doubt we would be far better off in than out. It's a sad and depressing time in this house, and not something I want to be congratulated on.

I have to admit the way it was going on and on and I did not think it was going to happen.

Yeah..... No it's not. Brexit has started.
The next few years will be negotiatons on the details. Only the rough outline has been negotiated so far, and that took years and the currency took a hit, Britain's economy took a hit, its reputation took a hit.
The negotiations will be conducted by Britain's answer to Donald Trump.

Yay. Brexit has begun!

This member of the older generation, who hasn't created any members of the younger generation, did the right thing for them. But other members of the older generations pissed on their own grandchildren's future.

I'm 62, and voted Remain . My father is 89 and lives in the States . I'm not sure whether he could vote , but he is a staunch Remainer . My sister who is 59 voted Remain . I'm not sure about my brother .

Unfortunately those of us over 55 who voted to remain were the exception rather than the rule .
