Donald Trump’s son has been heavily criticised after claiming COVID-19 will “magically disappear” after the US presidential election.
During an interview with Fox News, Eric Trump claimed the pandemic was being used as an excuse to disrupt his father’s re-election bid, labelling it as a “cognisant strategy” being used by the president’s critics.
The presidential election has been set for November 3, with the younger Trump claiming the virus is going to be used against his father to stop him holding political rallies.

To look at this from the other side, would it not be possible that he may have been referring to the preventative measures which have been put in place to prevent the spread, rather than the actual virus? This would indeed appear to have been the intent behind the statement when you consider the rest of his statement regarding it's use to prevent the rallies which were a major part of the election strategy in 2016.

That being said, it seems unlikely that the sorts of restrictions curently in place will last that long, but should they do so, it would be interesting to see how long after the election they suddenly cease to be required.

Let the MAGA-hat types rally.  Statistics show that there would likely be fewer of them left to vote in November.

And let me state for the record that I believe Eric Trump isn't even half as smart as his old man.

I so hope donald duck won’t get re-elect, he dangerous to America. I think he cannot handle things, he keeps lashing out at people. He doesn’t even wear a mask.
