change your vote to Biden?

A coronavirus death toll number.

Have you already made the switch somewhere between 0-130,000 dead Americans on trump’s watch as a result of his incompetence and failed leadership?

Or is your number 150,000? 200k? 250k? 300k people dead unnecessarily by November and you’ll vote for the guy who’s going to try to do something about thousands of Americans dying every day from this pandemic instead of the guy who’s actively doing things that increase the death toll?

Or is there no body count high enough to convince you trump doesn’t deserve your vote?

Figured this would be about the highest profile single issue that people might change their minds on and just curious if those who plan to vote for him in November would change their mind as his failed coronavirus response kills ever more people.

An argument could be made that Trump supporters may actually WANT people to die from COVID-19. The strategy could be for them to spread the disease, assuming that those who actually die will be primarily from groups more likely to vote against Trump. I'm not saying it's true, just that the argument could be made.

Original estimates had U.S. deaths projected to be in the millions. One could argue that Trump has done a good job keeping the death number as low as it is.

I suppose, for many, it could resolve around how much of the death toll can be associated to his decisions/things that were within his power to control, and how much to those that are the responsibility of the local governors/mayors/whoever.

Just because he is the President, it doesn't mean he had power over a number of factors (as the state governors were happy to point out at one stage).

He doesn't deserve all the credit, but the current explosion of new cases in the US is primarily due to people socializing with the understanding that the risk has been overstated by shady elements, possibly foreign, inimical to Americans' personal freedoms. Trump has most certainly encouraged this way of thinking even if some of the "super-spreaders" didn't really need his encouragement to begin with.

Maybe it depends how close a death hits to home. Like maybe if it’s their own parents/grandparents, spouse, sibling, son or daughter it might only take a single death to flip their vote?

..or maybe they’ll celebrate that they died for the dow and it’s all totally worth it so long as trump and his buddies’ stock portfolios go up. :chin:

You can spin anything and have a cult member believe it, I suppose.

Boris Johnson certainly changed his mind after he almost died from COVID.

Trump supporters don't fear the reaper.

Masks: Nope
Social distance: Nope
Living Life: Yes.

Losing one's survival instincts is a easy shortcut to an evolutionary dead end. More power to them!

The problem is that there’s no guarantee that they only infect and kill other trump supporters. Science denying trumpian goofs will inevitably spread the virus to other Americans and kill them, too. :/

Unless they cower inside in fear as I do (except when I have no choice about going out). By making me afraid to leave my house, they are depriving me of my basic freedom, precisely as they accuse proponents of wearing masks and "social distancing" of doing to them.
