Who believes in creating O.N.E. One Nation Earth? I do b/c I think increasingly humanity is becoming more interconnected and the problems will require more global solutions?

Who thinks national sovereignty is obsolete?

Who decides to elect the leaders under that concept? What recourse does one group of people living in a certain part of the planet have if they don't like the leadership that other parts of the planet don't have a problem with?

I love the sound of that . I can’t see it happening due to religious and cultural differences realistically

Babel all over again! :D

Seriously though. It sounds an ideal concept, but in reality it is unworkable without turning to a communistic dictatorship style ruling system. Now the differences between cultures are too great. The EU, despite all its good intentions is not really working and that is small compared to the world. It is a recepe for many years of internal conflict and can only work by trying to "Re-program" anyone who thinks outside of the box. The freedom to be unique will be under threat.

A united states of the world. Certainly with so many people voting, we would never elect a incompetent narcissist as leader .

It would have to be a dictator as if we elected a leader into power it may take a lifetime to come to a decision!

I think it is possible for humanity to evolve to it by necessity.

Absolutely not. I doubt such a thing could exist without tyranny. I'm already concerned about the EU's overreach and inflated influence compared to how accountable they are. How would any given person or persons hold the people governing them to account if those people might be on a different continent altogether?

Not I.

The title of your "Utopian" idea is taken directly from a series of Christian movies based on the Biblical books of Daniel and Revelation.  Here is a synopsis:

O.N.E. is an image of the future in which the world follows one government and one man.  All Christians have vanished in the rapture, 95% of the world worships the Anti-Christ, and wears a 666 mark on their right hand and/or forehead.  Those who refused to take the mark are beheaded.

Source:
Apocalypse (film series).

A Utopian society cannot maintain itself without the total control of its citizens.  Every aspect of each person's life must be decided for them.  Every word they speak and every action they take must be closely monitored for deviations from what is acceptable, and every deviation must be punished to prevent it from happening again -- if that didn't work, then a public execution would take place to as an example for all who would rebel.

"O.N.E. One Nation Earth" is not a kind place for those who enjoy liberty of thought, word, and action.

I read an article online years ago that claimed to have been written by two brothers that had time travelled into the future and then back again. (Well crafted fiction, I’m sure.)

Anyways, they claimed that in the future all medicine is light/sound based (start trek?) and that after a great war we have peace and a one world government that’s run by artificial intelligence on a network of supercomputers. We fought over resources for so long, then with the AI we’re finally able to distribute resources where they’re needed and everyone has everything they need with no fighting.

Interesting concept. Even with very intelligent people and our regular computer technology, it’s next to impossible to distribute resources properly. Food still goes to waste while people starve. But with advanced AI and supercomputers to govern over resources for us... maybe?

At one point in time the idea of living under the same power as village to village was a crazy idea. No doubt there will eventually be the progress of a governing body for all humans on the planet. Just a question of if the ones who do have the selfless interest and many people afraid of differences don't try to pick a fight on old grudges or things they don't understand. Or religions that believe their god's beliefs should be the only one to rule all.
