2020-08-16: For the record, I predict that with the death of Robert Trump, his brother Donald Trump will have to decide between (1) staying on as president and watching his financial empire crumble, (2) acting to save his empire and giving up on being president, or (3) trying to hold on to and maintain both his empire and his administration and watching both of them disintegrate from the top down, and from the inside out.

I thought The Trump Organization was managed by his sons? Was his brother advising them?

I answered my own question with google. Was executive vice president before health problems in June.

3. trump can’t choose between money & power - he wants both, so will try to hold onto both, and will likely fail at both like he has several times over.

The Tower card symbolizes calamity and chaos. This happens to be the card I pulled for the Month of August in my Wheel of the Year spread.

For the next 4 months we have The Sun for September, The Chariot reversed for October, Death for November, and Temperance for December.

I predict a war or more violent protests over our next leader whoever it will be. The Sun is our king, The Inverted Chariot means accepting defeat, and Death will bring an end to the old America whether we like it or not, but Temperance will restore balance somehow.

That is my prediction.

That seems to be the way to bet -- The Donald will likely try to merge his two "empires" into one with disastrous results for all (but mostly for him).

Even money that he blames Obama...

That has been his default strategy, when in doubt blame Obama.

So... What do you guys think of my tarot prediction? I hope I'm not hijacking Fnords' topic but I want to know.

Out of curiosity, how many politicians in the U.S.A. have lost money as a result of having been elected to public office, as opposed to those who have made a considerable amount of money for themselves through their "public service"?

As an example - Jimmy Carter sold his family peanut farm in order to prevent any perception of a conflict of interest.

I don’t think it was practical for Mr Trump to sell his entire business empire, but there have been a few occasions where his family’s business empire has caused conflicts of interest.

Being a successful politician is a high-skilled job with relatively low pay. Most people who enter it have earned much more in the private sector. That said, in the grand scheme of things it’s still high-paying, so few people will genuinely lose money doing it.
