Forgive me if I'm skeptical of this black Trump support.
What would they have to lose - It's not like the Democrats seem to do much for them other than portray them as being too weak to be able to do anything except take hand-outs, and too lacking in intelligence to do anything other than vote as they are told by their "betters".
Maybe they are starting to realize that doing the same thing every election had got them nowhere, and it may be time to try something different?
They have a lot to lose. The suggestion that they don't is demeaning and insulting. It's this kind of outlook that destroys the ability of the GOP to appeal to black voters.
It's centered around the idea that the black community are somehow collectively naive. It suggests that they take at face value anything and everything Democratic politicians tell them about what problems face their communities and how they should be fixed. They know their circumstances better than any white politician and they know it. They are not stupid enough to model their political beliefs based solely on what pasty beltway Democratic politicians tell them to. As much as white Democrat politicians are ignorant of the problems facing black americans, the average Republican politician is still worse.
They hear conservatives give those kinds of reasons for why they overwhelmingly vote Democrat and it's another reminder of why Republican candidates are so repellent to them.
