Just wondering if someone could explain what the message here was, as I couldn't work out what he is trying to say.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Joe Biden .. "COME ON MAN. YOU KNOW THE THING".

Joe Biden has a well-documented lifelong speech impediment.

Here he seems to be saying that the death rate this year is the highest in the US for over 100 years, due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The only data source I could find only goes back to 1950, and to my uninformed eye it looks as though this year could possibly be higher than any year on record once actual numbers are included. 2019 was at around 8.7 deaths per thousand people compared to a peak of around 9.6 deaths per thousand. This year there have been 200,000+ excess deaths in a population of 328.2m, which I believe is one extra death per 1,600 people. Very quick calculation so probably made a mistake. Perhaps by the end of the reporting period this will be the 0.9 deaths per 1000 people necessary.

Would be interested in seeing where Biden and his team got their numbers from.

Seemed much more like a person unable to hold a coherent train of thought: I've never come across someone with a speech impediment who kept changing what they were trying to say that much. Even stranger, he was reading from a teleprompter, so it wasn't as though he needed to think about what he was saying or needed to say.

Would you have any links to video from 2+ years ago where he speaks in a similar way, and where his "speech impediment" affects him to a similar extent?

As a side note, it will be interesting to see how badly this "speech impediment" affects him during the debates.

Looking back at past speeches, I see no evidence that Biden has a speech impediment. He's suffering serious cognitive decline.

Biden's numbers are now substantially lower than Hillary's were at this point in 2016. Most people don't have any enthusiasm for this spud. Trump has a better shot, I'd say, than Biden does of winning.

Perhaps if the Dems actually made an effort to earn our votes, that situation might change.But they won't, because they're too busy serving their corporate masters.
