This video's completely inappropriate for the forum cuz 'muh side's right!

(It's funnier when it's said with zero irony).

The video seemed accurate of what each side thinks of each other. This actor is hilarious and he is also a comedian. I assume he also took acting lessons.

At first glance I thought the one in red would be the Left.
Most Left movements’ colors in the world are historically red.

Red is Trump and blue is the Biden side.

Ever since 2000 in the context of the US red has been for Republicans and blue for Dems. Blame the electoral maps and the drama that made more people pay attention to them.

Socialist movements have historically embraced red, but not all of the left are socialists. Liberal International uses blue and yellow so obviously he should be wearing a shirt with red, yellow, blue and green stripes. 8)

A shocking percentage of adults as well.

The American flag is red white and blue. And American elections are decided by the electorial college...so when broadcast media reports on elections it all about winning state by state. So those three colors are used to designate which party has won which state at that moment of election night. Though different outlets assigned the colors differently. But around 2000 it became the convention among all american media that Blue= democrat, Red= GOP, and White= undecided.

And then that news media convention became general slang. Folks outside of media began talking about blue states and red states.

So thats why his two characters are dressed that way (the Biden guy is a "blue stater" and the Trump guy is a "red stater".

And the American left vs right doesnt quite correspond to the European left and right. And progressive Americans were never into waving red banners the way leftists have in Europe and in Latin America. And this sketch doesnt even have much to do with left vs right, even in the US, anyway. The title is a bit of a misnomer. Biden is rather conservative even by US standards, and Trump dumps on traditonal American conservative values and alienates many right wingers himself. So a debate between a Trump supporter and Biden supporter isnt exactly right vs left.
