Why do people like Trump?
I can understand why people would vote for Biden, despite the fact they may not like a lot of things about him.
Or just about anyone else.
This is not a "why do you vote Trump instead of Biden"-thread. It goes deeper than that.
I'm asking why people would not only vote for Trump, but actually support him despite all the attrocities he's committing (his fascination of authoritarian regimes and even dictatorships, his extreme lying to the public - the list can go on forever).
I know some of you would point your fingers at Biden at say "he's doing the same things". But first of all, this is not about Biden. This is about Trump. Secondly, even those who would vote Biden would still be honest that they have a lot of disagreements with Bidens views. And thirdly, I've yet to see Biden support dictatorship. But Trump support dictatorship.
It seems like there are a lot more disagreement amongst Democrats, but Republicans seem like they're all the same.
So I'm asking: Why do you like Trump when Trump displays love for dictatorships (for example, but not limited to - North Korea)?
An odd question because everyone is different so like different things, so some will and some won't like him. I can't fathom out why someone would not like him as much as I can't fathom why someone would like him as to me I can't see why people disslike people when they really don't know them or know anything about the job they do and why they have to put on a hard line act to do that job. (I know about masking... Why one wears a tough mask. I see it in people who put on a character to make pwople think they are tough. I also know what it is like to mask when one takes on a certain job, as I have done serious masking in the past to do the jobs I have done, where the real "Me" is nothing like the work "Me".
But there again. I used to think that everyone masks because I do?
Anyway. What I am saying is that unless we are very close to the person to really know him, we do not know him so we can't say anything. Our concept of him is formed by looking at the media and also by the ways in which his government decisions effect us. We only see a small part of the story of who he is.
Think of this. Anyone who works him or herself up to the position of leadership of a party already has to be seen as tough. It is the type of job that no one seen as a wimp can stand in, as the job entails tough decisions where ones decision will effect someone somewhere.
In the past Tony Blair was seen as a primeminister who tried to please all the people ans he got our country (UK) massively in debt by doing so... A debt which was so great that it probably can never been paid off in our lifetimes. He tried to give people blessings with money we never had in order that we may vote him in again. Unfortunately for him we realized as a country that in this way he was slightly unhinged, but unfortunately by the time we voted him and then Gordon Brown out, the damage had been done. (I am not saying our other main party is much better as they do the opposite and don't spend when they need to, but to be fair to them, every time Labour gets in they spend too much so every time the Conservative get in they have to cut back to try to get the UK back on its feet again... But then they go overboard in cut backs and Labour get voted in again and the process is repeated! The UK has had a history of this cycle taking place for decades!)
Now I do not know that much at all about Americal politics. I don't even know what party President Trump is in, but one thing I do observe is people. I have from a young age always observed people because I try to work out how people think and why they do what they do. It is still a mystery! But what I have learned is that people have to put on certain masks to do what they do, as I have looked back at myself and my own life and I have realized how many masks I have had to wear to do certain jobs I have done etc. I can not comprehend how it is possible to do the jobs such as a countries leader without masking, as if one is that tough, no way would one be able to also raise a family. (How men can become married and head a family is also a mystery to me. I do not know how my Dad did it. I do not know how other Dads do it. I do not know how people can keep up getting on with each other for so long.
But... I do love my Mum as she is my Mum and maybe people love each other and stay loving each other? But then how come someone be a president and not mask? How can he play two different parts? It can only come because he masks so well!
So before criticizing your president, realize that he is very likely to be a kind sensitive person on the inside.
There is a president that does not mask that is a bit more sensitive and I see that in the Russian persident. He is who he is. I have noticed that. He has a sensitive side which to some may come across as vunerable, but he is someone who I would like to get to know as I realize the flack he gets. This does not mean I may not know people that well. I am a bit nieve... But his calm nature and sensitivity when on air makes me believe that he is a person who I could go up and speak to.
The funny thing is that as part of jobs I have done in the past, I have spoken to many different people which is probably because of faceblindness and also that on a one to one in a quiet enviroment I am able to? So when I worked those quiet late night trains where people on their own were bored, and I was masking so I was trying to make their journey pleasant, I spoke to many famous and not so famous people about all sorts of things in life. I know I have met the "Elites" in this world. I have met others without knowing who they were as to me they are people.. And somehow they relaxed while talking to me because I did not know who they were and I had no biases for or against them, so I could talk to them about things and we both enjoyed the conversation... Even if we dissagreed we enjoyed...
But if I was not able to mask I could not talk if that makes sense?

What his enemies call a bully, racist, sexist, xenophobe, nationalist, authoritarianist result in populist ideas.
Ideas that Biden likely would never pursue.
-loves his country
-reverse anti-American policies
-set forth America first policies
-withdraws foreign troops
-make foreign entities pay up NATO, UN
-threatens to cut off foreign aid to countries that don't tow the line
-restore lawful immigration
-ban potentially dangerous Muslim immigration
-try and bring back foreign jobs
-stop rioting/looting
-tax cuts
-stop baby-killing abortionists

I can understand why people would dodge the draft. It's my life, it's my body. The state should not own my body and force me to work. That's about the only thing that cause me to respect Trump. Being a draft dodger is being a hero.
Though, all the rest Trump is doing is making him an anti-hero, so Trump is evil. But draft dodging is not on my list of evils.
I vote on some far left party. It's anti-fascist and shows respect for minorities, disabled, mentally ill and disadvantaged etc.
But they are firm believers in the military draft, and some of the members also want civic draft as well (non-military compulsory work duty).
That's the reason I will never join that party, and I will continue to hate them for for being pro-conscription, until they change the pro-conscription politics to anti-conscription.
Taxation is the only burden the State should impose on its citizens and residents.
Slavery of all sorts is wrong. Plain wrong.

For some people his worse traits aren't bugs, they're appreciated features.

People like to see the libs/coastal elites/deep state owned, triggered, bullied.
They are bigots and think Trump is one of them.

^Hitler had accomplishments too...
Some of the ones you mention are good, such as withdrawing troops from other countries. Not sure what's meant by "Individual mandate".
I don't see what the problem is with Obamacare. Other countries have free healthcare and it's appreciated.
Would that tax cut benefit the average American?
