He was clear that he doesn't support Medicare for All.

He wants everyone to have access to the ACA marketplace.

Not affordable access, just access. :) :)

He does seem to be having fun with health related actions:

Quote:
The HHS Thursday froze the former Trump administration’s December drug policy that requires community health centers to pass on all their insulin and epinephrine discount savings to patients.

Centers that don’t pass on the savings wouldn’t qualify for federal grants. The rule, which was finalized in late December, is delayed until March 22, the Department of Health and Human Services said in a Federal Register post.

Sad. Did he say why? Did he have some sort of reason?

Thank you. I don't really follow it, so I didn't understand.

It seems like it's just a temporary measure. That makes sense under the circumstances.

The insurers make out like bandits as they continue to jack up the premiums. My policy was around $450 a month the first year. In two years it increased to 1,100 a month.

I think any information culled from a government website should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

??? It is just Federal rules for evaluating and implementing new regulations. They are pretty standard. Sorry, no Q-conspiracy here.

Get out of the left/right paradigm. It'll rot your brain.

   (Kind of ironic given the video you posted)

Dude, these are Federal register rules. Nothing left or right about it. Just normal tedious administrative regulations.

Look, if you want to be an apolgist for Biden's backpedaling, that your business. If you want to an apologist for our new president refusing to take care of the citizens of this country during a deadly pandemic, that's your business. Don't make it mine.

Don't concern yourself with it. Perhaps you'll understand in time.

It does look like back-pedalling. I assume he didn't tell people he would cut back on healthcare even temporarily, when he was campaigning. If it's common practice to freeze spending, then I expect to see it change quickly.

I hope it is very temporary, and that of course Americans get the healthcare services they deserve.

I'll be curious to see what happens. I don't follow any of this normally, but now I'll keep an ear open to see what transpires.

Thanks for the thread, VM.

^You're welcome. I remain sceptical, but will retain some optimism.
