I was using Irony. I meant the opposite. I have no trouble believing there is a lot, and I mean a lot, of fake news out there, on *either* side of the political divide.

I hear lots of complaining about CNN. Hopefully those same people don't watch Fox News, which claimed there was validity to Donald's election fraud claims. Heck, the anchors on that station don't even make an effort to look like they know what they're talking about, with Tucker Carlson looking especially clueless all the time. How anyone believes what anyone on that station says about anything is beyond me.

For clarity's sake, what was the point that was already made?

I find it exceptionally hard to believe there was no plan at all.

It's quite possible, though, that whatever plans do exist were largely developed despite Trump rather than because of him.

So from Biden's perspective he might have thought he'd just inherited an empty folder. But that's actually more a question of rebuilding communication links with medical experts, civil servants, drugs companies, hospitals and State officials in order to populate the Presidential action file with the plan as it currently stands, before reviewing it.

That doesn't make for a sexy news story, though, does it?

There is no question there would have been voting rigging.
That is without a shadow of a doubt.
The question is, was there enough to change the election results.

The courts looked at the evidence provided and dismissed the multiple claims, multiple times.
Due process was seen to be done and it was time to move on.
Trump's dummy-spit only made things worse for him and sullied his political contribution.

True, I suppose in a country that size, there are bound to be a small percentage of people who do commit voter fraud. In fact, there was evidence of apparently 1100 votes or so being fraudulent. That still doesn't support Donald's claim that the election was rife with fraud, and that the election was "stolen" from him. In fact, apparently some of those fraudulent votes were for him, go figure. Unfortunately, Donald's the kind of individual who refuses to accept anything that contradicts what he believes to be true, no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary.

No it isn't.

A vote that size has considerable potential for error. Both human error and machine glitches. If there weren't any errors at all, that would actually be a much bigger red flag when it comes to allegations of tampering. A glitch free election would be very suspicious because it's too good to be true.

But fear not, what we had instead was lots of mistakes. Broadly in line with the overall level of mistakes in previous elections, and not favouring one candidate over the other to any great extent. Despite the fact that considerably more attention was paid to some areas than others, too.

Now you could argue that means the Russians or Chinese interfered in this election just as much as the last one, thus giving roughly equivalent degrees of variance both times. Given both nations generally operate to cause international instability rather than favouring any one party or leader consistently, that does have some merit. But so far no-one has found any evidence of coordinated tampering, despite there being way more pressure and opportunity to do so this time than ever before.

The purpose of the news media, these days, is to 'spin' the truth in favour of which ever political faction they are supporting.
Just look at the Australian ABC.

Here in Australia, we have a better voter vetting system than America, but even here we have had vote-rigging.
