But Auntblabby flags were the main means of communication on. Many ocean going vessels , back in the day of the
Great 3 masted Man of War , wooden Sailing ships . Even used up into more modern times. What if the power goes out on your boat? :nerdy:
Am inclined to believe Auntblabby may have hidden bias against flags ????? :|

You know them, those photos where a light source can be seen as a star. When I look at the sun through a CD, I see that the sun is round, but with photos of the sun or other light sources we often see a star. I've never been on the sun, but I don't believe that there are some spotlights / flashlights shining light there. When I look at my desk lamp and I squeeze my eyes a little bit, that desk lamp also becomes a shining star.

Now 'reality' is quite relative, but can you say that with setting the aperture in such a way that a light source becomes a star that then undermines 'reality' :?:

I think that people should say what they mean and mean what they say. I never did understand dishonesty.

Sometimes i believe in lies because i look with a certain expectation pattern.

The photo below looks a bit strange, yet the photo has not been edited, no paint or photoshop has been used.
A large chunk of space debris that crashes to Earth, at the exact moment a picture is taken, or so it seems.

If you like to live in the illusion that a meteorite has kissed the earth I wouldn't click on the spoiler :)

Brain thus deceives a book by Peter Vermeulen.
In this case, I do like the fact that I was tricked by the top image. :)

Unfortunately, people often form opinions based on emotions. Many a time someone's opinions are forged into their identity. That, and often such individuals will only seek out information that supports their belief systems, reinforcing what they previously believed even if it's false. For people who so deeply believe such lies that it's a part of who they are, being presented with facts that contradict their convictions may cause them to become defensive. And finally, there's simply arrogance, they don't want to believe what they don't want to accept, because they believe being wrong would reflect poorly on them. As for how to deal with such people, the best way is to try your best to ignore them. It's not worth it to argue with fools

reminds me of that Elvis song lyric "i'd rather go on hearin' your lies than to go on livin' without you."

It's getting harder and harder to tell lies from truth these days.
