This is in response to the hypocrites in downing Street who threw parties last Christmas during lockdown when the rest of the country remained isolated from loved ones.

Every newspaper except the Daily Express (which is essentially Boris' mouthpiece) expressed anger at the double standards. Given that most of the newspapers support the Tories, that's saying something. Frankly I wasn't shocked or surprised.

Indeed. It also looks like the public have finally begun to regret giving Boris a chance to run the country. I could have told them that when they first voted him into power, but I suppose this is better late than never:
