This is a complicated topic/subject area, but, in general, people in the United Kingdom & the European Union have the right, by law, to have their data erased. Whether on social media or on a forum like this one, unless there is good reason deny a request of this nature.
This is also true to a similar extent in the United States, although within a different legislative framework.
So if anybody tries to gaslight you & say that you are doing something wrong by requesting to have personal information be erased from the internet - tell them that no, it is they who are in the wrong.
