Looks like this was recorded a couple days ago.
I'm listening right now, remember watching Stella interviewed by Jordan Peterson, and I've heard Roger Waters say lots about it on Diem.
I've heard the press angles before but - this seems like a special kind of due process violation. I've heard people argue in the past that Julian Assange is this opportunist villain turned hero in a sort of Robert DeNiro Taxi Driver sort of way, but at this point it sounds like this whole thing is a lot less about him and what precedents can be set against journalism in general (ie. that you can leak information from some dominant global power and be extradited to that country, even be detained indefinitely with no valid charges if such an arrangement is convenient).
Someone else here might have some idea of what hard boundaries would prevent this from being a threat to journalism worldwide, if there are any hard legalities that would refute the above concerns please share them below.
Overall this really doesn't sound quite like anything else, Wikileaks was / is clearly a novel sort of organization that made very powerful enemies.
Edit - as a side note, feel free to skip everything after the 11 minute mark. I don't think it really adds to the presentation.
