I feel like politicians and our country as a whole would benefit from reading such works, especially the 50 Shades series and The Art of Oral Sex.

When I’m in a nihilistic mood: L’Étranger.

There are so many great moments in Shakespeare’s plays, too.

I feel like life is essentially meaningless, but it’s about enjoying the sublimity during the brief moments that we’re here. That sort of thing.

For impact, we are looking primarily at older child or young adult reading. That is where the big impact is. Of course over some 60 years there's been lots of books with impact.
