How would things be if everyone saw abortion as just as okay as stepping on roaches?

Well, we wouldn't have cases of preteens being forced to give birth.

Like the 13 year old that was forced to give birth to her rapists baby. That was hard to read about.

How about if all women stopped having sex so they wouldn’t have to worry about incubating roaches?

This is the one right wing belief I retain tbh. While there are clear exceptions to the morality of abortions, I tend to prefer offering support to expecting women. Most of the reasons abortions are sought after has to do with financial issues and the like.

All that said, most prolife people only want to ban abortion, not actually try to solve it. Banning abortions does not decrease them.

How would it be if all saw abortion the same as removing a tumor, or as murder.

The problem with this particular debate is that both sides see it so differently and as black and white.

The only "solution" I can think of is universal contraceptives available for free to both men and women, but that still would not solve the issue.

There are also reasons, like not wanting to give birth to a rapists baby, pregnancy complications/problems with the fetus, Not wanting kids or to go through pregnancy, not being ready yet.

That said better support for expecting women, might decrease the amount of abortions due to financial struggles. Though if something goes wrong with the pregnancy they still may need one.

But in those other cases support would include access to abortion, you can't support a pregnant person who doesn't want to be pregnant by forcing them to remain pregnant.

You mention “women.” What about girls, preteens, or teens?

How do you know “financial reasons” are the primary cause?

What about the right to bodily autonomy?

I’m all about having programs to support single parents, but sometimes people don’t want to be single parents or go through pregnancy and labor/delivery. I’m saying this as a single parent.

I won't be discussing specifics, thanks. I have had these discussions many many many times in the 15 years I've been engaging politically online and there is nothing to be gained from it on my end anymore. I am left wing and prolife-with-exceptions. That is all I will offer.

I solved the problem for myself by getting a total hysterectomy, including my ovaries back in December. Then again, my right ovary was trying to kill me with a large cyst that was putting pressure on my other organs, and was too large to deal with, as well as turning cancerous. I was already looking into getting my tubes completely removed before then, as I was already perimenopausal. My only regret was not getting sterilized back in 2017 instead of the copper IUD when I wanted to switch from the Pill for birth control. As it is, before I was finally sterilized, if I had an ectopic pregnancy in some states, it would have been even more risky than the cyst was.
