When I scan my various media news stations, regardless of site , World Bews, State News , Countries News ?
Everytime they are either providing Info that has no heart , no value ...Disasters , Killings , destruction , disasters.
But In the old days of news things like "Genuine New Inventions.".that save lives , or helps people to be healthy.
Positive spin news , is what I am suggesting ..Am always left wonder on this, Used to be , You might hear more
Good News At least once in awhile . ...Anyone ever notice this kinda stuff, or have any ideas about why it is?

It's the same problem with social media - if it's positive people don't need to watch, if it's negative people feel like they need to watch if they trust the info at all. It's 24/7 news cycle and advertising $$. It's also why we have customized reality when it comes to different media outlets who stoke the biases of their target audiences and set the advertisements for their target audiences.

There's an old saying in news media - "if it bleeds, it leads". Conflict and tension create drama. Drama causes interest in the reader/viewer.

Another WP er here once suggested to me that it seems the media business , is built on creating Anxiety.
Then added any persons normal daily stressors , And the entire world ends up on a short fuse for the individual
person

Try going to the Technology news section, or specifically to websites that Only publish good news - they exist. There are also websites and social media pages for engineering, space exploration, and countless other topics. You could seek out and follow them for things of interest vs. just being exposed to the shock & awe soundbite clickbait stuff that news media empires attract people like moths to a flame with.
