Just putting this out there. Anyone think it's not fake?

Anyone here know Arabic?

Some commenters are saying the translation is completely wrong, others are saying it is correct or nearly so. Those of us who don't know Arabic have no way to judge.

It does seem weird, and it would not surprise me if it is fake. It would be more surprising if it is correct.

We all believe as we choose. Truth is just a construct.

^ Some things are objectively true. Truth is not just a construct, unless we’re talking about abstract, philosophical beliefs.

As far as the video goes, it’s hard to know whether it is true or faked at this point. The woman could even be mentally unstable. It’s impossible to say without confirmation.

It depends on the school of thought one subscribes to, as to whether a person believes in an objective reality, unchangeable from individual perception.

There are differing viewpoints on this issue, including subjectivism, relativism, solipsism and so on.

As far as this specific video goes, it’s either true, not true, or partially true.

Those predisposed to religion typically accept the notion of objective truth, usually revealed to them by some authority they trust. This explains why so many religious people fervently support Donald Trump, even though he's not religious, because they have basically been told by authorities they trust (often clergy) to support him, assume anything said against him to be a lie, and any refutation of said allegations to be the truth.

That's different than believing something is real or true that has been proven or that can be proven. Religion is built on faith and subjective experience alone, not on that which can be proven or confirmed by outside sources. It's impossible to know if the woman's feelings are true or not, but they either are or aren't.

At any rate, it doesn't seem like the time or place to be talking about abstract issues, considering the suffering that's taking place.

It matters not a bit to those suffering, but it matters to the rest of it who choose to pay attention and don't know how to process it.

How would this video, including its truth or absence of truth, change how we process things? It's not like it would change the fact that people are suffering.

People seem to be asking a lot of a short Instagram video that features one person.

Have started to hear reports that some Gazans are more angry at HAMAS than at Israel about this disaster theyre going through. So ..could be real.

I suspect that most now and when it's over are and will be angry with Hamas AND the IDF. I certainly would be. Of course, there will be a lot of individual variation, too, I'm sure.

Agreed, that seems likely.
