Oh great, Canada’s gonna have to build a border wall to keep all the sane people from fleeing the USA.

If y’all are coming, at least bring construction skills. We’re in the middle of a housing crisis so you’re gonna have to build your own.

Please let him lose by a landslide!

What's his campaign platform?

Probably just running on his 15 minutes of fame as a trump nut swinging insurrectionist. Not sure if he helped record the special song with trump and the rest of the choir, but guaranteed he's running on trump's coattails and nothing more.. except maybe prison food reform - apparently not enough organic vegan options.

Prediction: He won't be any worse than the current crop of crazies.

Well, how am I supposed to know what to make of his candidacy without knowing what he's running on?

According to this news story:

Quote:
Although he previously called himself the "QAnon Shaman," Chansley has since disavowed the QAnon movement.

He identified himself as Jacob Angeli-Chansley in the candidate statement of interest paperwork filed with the Arizona Secretary of State's office.

No indication of what his current political views are (other than renouncing QAnon).

Another news story says the following:

Quote:
Chansley, who has lived in the district for 30 years, tells WIRED that he is running his campaign single-handedly and does not plan to accept PAC money. Though he’s not eligible to vote under Arizona law because he is still serving part of his sentence, Chansley is able to run for Congress.

“When I heard that the seat was available, I prayed on it for a while, and the message I got from God was, ‘Do it,’” says Chansley.

In Arizona, Chansley’s decision to run for office is almost standard. Though Chansley may be viewed as a fringe candidate by many, he is not an outlier in a district and state where election deniers and conspiracists are already front and center in the 2024 election races.

So he should call himself "the Pharoah" because he will be "the king of denial". Election denial.

He would have had George Santos to make him look sane by comparison.

But they just now booted Santos out of Congress.

Actually, Santos stated he wasn't going to run for re-election. He hasn't been expelled.
