Whether you practice a form of Christianity/Judaism or not, do you believe in God? I ask that only people who do believe in God reply to this post.

I do.

Thank you, and any other non-believing posters in this thread, for respecting the OP's wishes that only believers post here. Of course, you are well within your rights to post here, but it would have been nice if we could have had one solitary thread where Christians are not bashed. I respect such when I see an OP request that Christians stay out of a particular thread, and it would have been nice for you to have given the OP the same courtesy. I would have been impressed.

I believe in God and the Word. Why? Becuase I've seen the other way and it's not pretty and .... I've seen the positive impact of prayer. Try it. You may be surprised.

In fact, many local churches offer a program called "Alpha" program; you two should check it out. Of course, you would have to show your faces and express your self at the same time.

And I reiterate the point I have not made a single flame in this thread.

Why couldn't the Sumerians have seen aspects of God before the Jews came along? The Bible doesn't say the Jews were the first people to know of Him, but merely that they were chosen by Him. Paul himself gave a sermon in Greece, in which he basically said (I'm paraphrasing), "On the way here, I saw you have a shrine marked 'to the unknown god'. That's MY God that I'm preaching to you all!" So, even back then, the Greeks knew there was a god they hadn't accounted for.

I'm sure God made Himself known all over the world to all peoples in various ways since the creation, which might be why there are many similarities in many of the world's religions.

As a note I edited the post AFTER she posted. I saw where it was going and didn't want anymore of it. She isn't at fault though. The next poster however posted after my edit.

Look like the mods created a separate thread for verbally abusive people.

Gahhhh

This thread is a lost cause.

I'm leaving before this gets messier.

And I say one last time, I have never even flamed in this thread and haven't in the past.

Because postperson wasn't being verbally abusive yet and was giving information to people who like to mock Christians and persecute Jews.

Does that count as a Godwin's law violation?

I do, though it brings me more trouble than good.
