All the news outlets around the world are reporting the dumpster fire performance from Biden last night in the presidential tv debate.

Many are simply saying he’s clearly too old now and clearly cognitively compromised because of it.

If traditional left supporting news outlets are saying this it must be bad. Other left outlets are using words like “cringe worthy” and “car crash”

What was once a rumour spread by the right of the president state of mind is out in the open now.

It appears things have reached crisis point now so is it too late to replace him if so who with?

Is trump really going to win?

The smart money has been on Trump since way before this debate. If I had to replace Biden, I would go with Tammy Duckworth, not that it really matters.

I sometimes wonder if the hope hasn’t always been to loose Biden and replace him with his Vise President.

I just hope there are sensible people behind the figureheads.

Early USA revolutionaries made good use of the printing press.
Then it was newspapers, and radio and tv. Now it is no surprise the internet is the follow on.

But politics it a bit like stage magic. While you are watching what they want you to watch the real magic goes unnoticed. Slight of hand. Misdirection.

I plan on voting third party for the third president election in a row.

I wonder how the non USA members of this forum feel about all this.

(And Putin, and China)

People who always vote 3rd party are as big a part of the problem as MAGAs.

Hmm, American Coins are 'Littered'

With Pics of Presidents With Functional Disabilities

Like Lincoln and His Depression on the Penny; Roosevelt
And His Wheelchair on the Dime; And John F. Kennedy With
His Myriad of Chronic to Acute Lifelong Health Problems on the

Half Dollar;

in Fact, There are Innumerable
Stories of Humans Still RiSinG Out
oF All Kinds of Dark Challenges Lauded

Now And Who Will Be Remembered

As Real Heroes;

Some True and
Some Not So True...

The Republican Party Has
A Few Noted Ones Like

John McCain Who Helped
Save my Sister's Health Care

And Of Course the Daughter of
Dick Cheney Who Refused to Kiss the Con Man's Butt...

That Just Goes to Show We Also May Exceed Expectations of Our Origins...

Joe Biden, is an Old Empathetic Man Who Has Shown Depth of Wisdom With

Normal Aging Problems With Memory, And a Life Long Stuttering Challenge in Communication...

He Didn't Meet the
Expectations of Others
And They Quickly Threw
the Old Man Under the Bus...

Yet Wisdom is Lasting More often With Grit,

Having Learned

to Get Up after
getting knocked

Down and Not Being
A Whiny Spoiled Brat
With A Golden Spoon Still Stuck Up His Soul...

The Folks Who Voted For Biden Well Understood
He was an Old Man With an Old Man Memory With

Problems
Stuttering

Finding Words...

The Folks Who Voted For Trump

Understood He Was an Old Con Man Who Will Never Change...

Next Step, We Live in a Representative Democracy; We Will Get Whatever Result
'We the People' Vote For as a Majority in the Electoral Process... Meanwhile...

Biden
Will Continue
to Have His Functional
Disabilities That Don't Include Con Man...

Both Men Have Enough 'Grumpy Old Men
Grit' Not to Quit Hehe...

It is What It is...

Yet The Rule of
Law Will Likely Overall Continue to Win

With Much Smarter Folks Than those who Breathe for Politics...

Is Duckworth eligible? (born in Thailand)

Most have their sights on Newsom, though I think Hochul may be better.

I suspect that she was considered an American citizen at birth, which would make her eligible.

Biden could be replaced by two 4th graders in a trench coat and people would immediately tell something is up from how coherent he would seem all of a sudden.

I was born in Germany. My dad was in the U.S. Army as an officer, he did ROTC in college. MPs. I am considered U.S. born and carry a U.S. passport. Have lived in the U.S.A. Most of my life after my dad finished his Tour.

The ability to "think on your feet" is actually rather irrelevant to the job he is applying to us for (POTUS). Presidents dont need to do that very often outside of debates. Biden came out verbally swinging hours later at that rally, and when schmoozing with the public at the waffle house. Got the crowd to chant "four more years".

The GOP did not go into panic mode when their guy got convicted of his two digit number of felonies.

Nobody born in another country, eg Thailand, even if they are a citizen, will be put forward as a candidate. Think of the effort put in to discredit Obama, and he was born in America. At this stage in the game, they can't afford to go through that again, but with a citizen who actually was born in a foreign country.

A replacement would need to tick all the visual boxes. Young, clean, not a stranger.

They might stand a chance. They'd be the young non-criminal in a race where the narrative is people don't like old candidates with perceived or actual criminal accusations hanging over their heads.
