Is it wrong to talk about R in PPR?

Or for that matter make fun of people whose R is different than your R?

I say: NO!

It shouldn't be wrong to discuss R. However, this forum should be a debate and discussion forum, and shouldn't be used as a bully pulpit or for open mockery and ridicule, as a good percentage of the threads of late have been.

If I were a moderator here, those sorts of disrespectful threads would be immediately closed as soon as they were opened and the creators banned (temp or perm, depending on the nature of the post and whether or not the poster was a repeat offender).

The same goes for the supporters of that religion or beliefs as well; if they start off a thread about anything, and someone comes on to put up a negative comment or an inverse argument, they should not be ridiculed and told that they are wrong just because the original posters didn't like what they saw. NOR should they be labeled trolls, or nuisances or whatever just because they've voiced their opinion. Put up an argument, sure, but you must expect opposition in that argument if it is to work; otherwise, why bother? Oh, and if you don't like what is said, don't pontificate and try to bully the opponents from the forum, that only defeats your purpose. So really, I don't care if you TALK about Christ, the bible or whatever, just don't expect the debate to be one-sided.

Threads like this just attract more of what you're complaining about.

No. If I was going to do whatever you're I was supposedly 'threatening' to do, then I'd have just done it. I'm pointing out that he's just asking for s**t, the way he's going. Making threads for spam or whatever it was yesterday and then doing this.

You have a whole forum on your site encouraging trolling, some of it written by you.

I think it's an appropriate icon for this whole darn sub-forum!

I've already asked Parakeet if religion was an obsession for him. There's too many threads from him on the subject and people get sick of being badgered about it. He's witnessed enough already.

Secondly, I wonder if the trolls and flamers are desperately hoping to get banned so they can start a thread on some other forum 'I got banned from WP'.

Yeah there are a few threads in there, but when that forum first started it wasn't meant to have anything to do with WP, that's just where the threads about this forum ended up because most of it was to do with the PPR forum. I don't 'encourage trolling' in general, I have started a couple of threads that I can think of, because I found it hilarious that I was reading such drivvle on here. But I've also had people suggesting more, which I haven't encouraged or agreed to at all.

Postperson, there are many religious issues to talk about here and people shouldn't feel badgered at all; they are not required to come to my threads and I have asked for only people who have views similiar to mine to come to many of them. I believe people like Ragtime and JohnnyBGoode wouldn't feel badgered at all. However I find it interesting that the people who would feel badgered, who I requested NOT to post on my threads, have come of their own free will. If you don't wish to talk about religious issues DON'T POST ON MY THREADS.

Whoever feels badgered, ignore my topics and leave me alone.
