It's very strange, isn't it? The voodoo aspect of Haiti is bound to stir some mixed responses from the bible belt.

There are many examples of zombies in modern day Haiti

One case in 1918 had a voodoo priest named Ti Joseph who ran a gang of laborers for the American Sugar Corporation, who took the money they received and fed the workers only unsalted porridge). A zombie will remain in a robot-like state indefinitely, until he tastes either salt or meat(so much for ³The Night of the Living Dead²). Then the zombie becomes aware of their state, immediately returning to the grave. The reality behind the zombie has only been taken seriously by medical science within the last ten years, since the use of CAT scans of the brain, along with the confessions of voodoo priests, explaining their methods. Previous to that, zombies were considered mental defective by science or explained as stunts to try to confuse scientists.

The primitive methods of making zombies has long been superseded by modern technology. New efforts, somewhat successful, was the installation of the Protestant work ethic in many churches but with television, computer games, the consumer society and membership in either the Republican or Democratic parties the more modern methods have been most successful in the USA.

As I wrote in another thread, humans like to find causes of events.

What caused Pat Robinson to exist? And why is he spewing such garbage?

Maybe the hardening of arteries. Maybe the Devil himself. Or maybe he is just another fool whose ideas blame the victim. :evil:

CBN is the channel that does his show which is "The 700 Club"
They have a statement about how he sent all this money and medicine to Haiti, but you know operation blessing does not have a good track record of actually getting the money to the people that needs it. One person stated in another post that half of the money for some relief effort went his diamond mine.

you can also contact a national civil rights organization to put some presure on his producers.

#$% happens, and that's just the way it is! I have seen more super jerks get a well paid life than good, decent people! Does that mean God likes butt holes? I doubt this person would do what some Christians have had to cope with, because it's just easier to talk down to others isn't it.
