My understanding is that vegans want to end industries that rely on animal exploitation, so farmed eggs would cease to exist entirely.

That's what you mean by unfertilized eggs, right? Unfertilized poultry eggs?

I believe they mean the chicken eggs most omnivores eat, which are unfertilized. But the chicken lay unfertilized eggs anyway, it's not like we're "milking" them or forcing them to make eggs.

Of course, it's much more humane for the birds to be free range instead of cruelly locked up in tiny cages. But some vegans think it's cruel to eat eggs no matter what. Like That Vegan Teacher, who is a completely insufferable nutcase and believes anyone who is an omnivore is literally going to Hell, and has said racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and creepy things online to an underage boy while playing her ukulele. Also she looks like she's 80 and 10 years old at the same time. Even other vegans who don't agree with her extremism find her horrible.

Her "logic" and that of extremist vegans in general goes something like this:

Animal rights matter, but human rights don't matter at all

Babies are born vegan, they only become non-vegan when their evil cruel mothers feed them meat for the first time. Obviously, milk that comes from the baby's mother does not count as non-vegan.(sarcasm)

All animals should and can be vegan, including natural predator animals such as dogs, cats, lions, etc etc, even though they would very likely become very ill and die from malnutrition.

Your health is not as important as being vegan. If you're not vegan because you suffered bad health problems from not eating animal products, than you are evil and should die.

Only the cute and cuddly animals matter. The creepy crawly animals, not so much.

People who are omnivores should be all put in concentration camps or killed. (more of TVT's "logic" than anything else)

Feral chickens would probably produce less eggs over time. The reason chickens lay so many eggs is that we've selectively bred them for high egg production.

High egg production is metabolically demanding though, once they have to feed themselves it would be a high-cost/low-benefit trait and selective pressures would start working against it. Red junglefowl produce more like 1 - 2 eggs per month, instead of ~300 a year seen in some breeds of domestic chicken.

So essentially, in the long run there wouldn't be any unfertilized eggs to eat.

TVT would definitely treat you like a murderer for squishing a mosquito.
