Gaza is on the brink of total famine, according to analysts.

Bibi is just evil (and a big portion of Israel, let's stop making it sound that it's only a one man's evilness) , no one can argue that.

That raises the question tho: Hamas, the elected ruling force in Gaza : why the hell aren’t they surrendering and releasing the hostages yet? What are they really betting on? What's the point in continuing to fight? Haven't they made things exponentially worse since 7th Ocrober?

Historically, even the Imperial Japan surrendered when faced with the threat of nuclear annihilation, and no one can say they lacked a code of dignity.

Honestly, I see Hamas as the more evil side here, it’s time for them to give up. The fact that they haven't yet at this point only reflects their lack of sanity - no sane leadership ever does like what they are doing now.

I have a feeling that there'll be another ceasefire as soon as Israel responds to the latest response by Hamas, at least I hope so but I might be wrong. Anyway, I think that the reason why Hamas has not surrendered is because they don't care about the Palestinians but they do want to remain in power. Usually, they think that starving Palestinians is actually good for them because they think it will cause the international community to put pressure on Israel to give in to their demands on any ceasefire deal.

US intelligence suggests Sinwar believes Hamas has upper hand in negotiations with Israel, officials say
Quote:
American intelligence officials believe that Yahya Sinwar, the powerful leader of Hamas in Gaza who is thought to be the group’s key decision-maker on any potential ceasefire deal, likely believes the group can survive Israel’s attempt to destroy it and feels confident it is well-positioned to approach negotiations from a place of strength, according to US officials familiar with recent assessments.

The goal for Hamas is to survive, these sources say — that would be victory for the group. Sinwar likely believes Hamas can hold out while Israel’s global standing deteriorates as the war in Gaza, which has killed thousands of civilians, continues.

A senior Biden administration official put it bluntly: “He believes he’s winning".

The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that Sinwar called their deaths “necessary sacrifices” in messages reviewed by the paper.

“We have the Israelis right where we want them,” Sinwar told Hamas’ political leadership in the Gulf state of Qatar recently, according to one of the messages.

That might not be sane, but there is no indication that current leadership is thinking any differently.

Well the ceasefire talks seem to have collapsed again. I can't find any explanation for it:

Well, it seems like even the Arab states are calling for Hamas to disarm and leave Gaza:

Quote:
The Arab world has called on Hamas to disband and surrender control of Gaza, in a dramatic shift that could pave the way for peace in the region.

Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt were among 17 nations, along with Britain, France and Canada, to sign a declaration demanding the terror group be dismantled and barred from any future role in governing Palestine.

A logical decision given the current crisis. The question is, will this actually help or will it only cause Hamas to refuse all future negotiations?

Based on their history, they never took rational decisions.
Nor they ever had accountability.
