I was wondering if finding out about your AS has brought you closer to God?

I don't know, but if you find the
little bugger, send him here.

I need a good fight.

Not really, actually, it made me even more doubtful that a deity existed. That of course related back to the old theological problem of evil. AS did not feel like a gift but rather a curse on a reasonably gifted individual, and to know the nature of this curse although helping understanding did make me feel cursed.

it depends on the person, if someone is a devoted christian, after I diagnoses I suppose they would feel like that, for someone who is not a believer, not at all in most cases I believe.

I don't believe in god. But I think having AS is why I couldn't just blindly say, "Hey god exists even though there isn't a lick of prove for it and there a billions of arguments that could be made against his existence." and that has enabled me to explore other religions more indepthly because I'm not like, "Oh my god! I can't possibly experience what its like to be Hindu. God will send me to hell for that." 8O

AS has brought me closer to the philosophy of Popeye. I am what I am.

As far as the big issues that have triggered soul searching in my life, AS is not one of them. People's cruelty sometimes is, but that is not just triggered by AS. Cruelty is pretty common. And other limitations and mortality are not just AS issues.
