I haven't really been paying much attention to the news lately but I seem to hear somewhat about Britain and other countries must prepare for war with Russia and military spending and bringing back military service and so on. It does kind of makes me anxious about it. First the pandemic and now this. It just feels like we are going through one crisis after another and nothing seems to be done to ease tension or even bring about a peace. They worry about Putin taking Ukraine and perhaps invading another country but I mean but countries like Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are literally next to the borders of Russia, if he wanted to invade them, why hasn't he done so already or 3 or more years ago? He surely knows that it would be suicide as they are NATO countries. He thinks that NATO is encroaching on his borders but I mean are really intending to encroach on Russia? I also thought the idea of a UN is to prevent such a war from happening again in the aftermath of ww2. I also found out that putting our boots on the ground would effectively put us at war with Russia and considering we a both nuclear armed countries along with the US, China, India, Pakistan, north Korea and so on.

It feels closer than ever in my 35 years alive on this earth.

Trump really puts the 'ass' in asset.

It will happen someday. Maybe soon.

That depends on how you define "WW3". I've noticed that people say WW3 is starting literally every time a war breaks out.

The irony is that Trump is a liability, not an asset. His existence literally benefits no one.

It will be a dangerous couple of years now with Trump as US president. I don't expect the EU - US relationship to ever get back to what has been business as usual, but if the world survives Trump I think some kind international law and order will be restored.

The difficulty is the interlocking economies and the difficulty of separating from each other.

An interesting true story is the weapons dealer who got exchanged for an US WNBA basketball player. A tall black woman who played in Europe because she got paid a ton of money. Much more than she got paid in the WNBA!

The weapons dealer was supplying weapons in African Nations that were basically irrelevant to the rest of the world. While they might have had oil reserves, they weren't providing anything of use to the rest of the world, so the potential for supplying oil didn't matter. He was a hero in Russia and a bad guy in the USA.

China, Iran, Pakistan and Russia are waging a proxy cyberwar on the west using hackers. Objective is to completely shutdown our online systems.

If critical infrastructure is compromised then they win. then:
Russia - can militarily expand into NATO
China - can monopolise and control world economy
Iran and Pakistan can spread militant forms of islam to cripple their enemies Israel and India.

Well now, perhaps since Trump started the trade Wars, perhaps we are already in a Wartime situation. Venezuala, would naturally consider Trumps movements against their oil tanker ships as a act of War . And with that would bring many South American Nations in on the side of Venezuala . Whom are already allied with each other . And we are already fighting Wars on several fronts , unofficially . And most Worst possibility is if Brazil comes in on the side of
So. America . Per the CIA world fact book dated from late 1970s Their military is THE largest in the entire World.
More armoured and Infantry units than the next several countries combined. And that was in the 70s. imagine their growth by now . Just watching the world stage and battle tactics being used. And Our Dear Rump has fired ALL the experienced military commanders and heads of depts regarding Wartime interactions. We have No competint military
commanders . If the US goes to War? We literally have NO level of experienced commanders left .A little disillusioning ,I think.

Exactly
It seems to me that WW3 is being fought by proxy right now and is awaiting escalation.

I really don't understand why USA decided to put on the black hat, get friendly with their erstwhile enemy and overtly prepare to invade another country.

Just a thought offering ... War for ogliarchs is profitable ..these people control the Industrial Military complexes around the World .. It has been written previously on multiple sources . All over ...that the USA economy is based on
a Wartime economy. And this is wonderfully profitable State to be in , if you are of the 1% . And the US and the WEF
seem to be determined to wipe out the middle class . Moving their capitol( money) to companys( etc) they the 1% control . Sad circumstance to even consider . :(

The lesson to be learned here: Don't ever elect washed-up celebutants to be your leaders boys and girls.

US is already friendly with a country listed at number 3 - have a look at the trade deficit
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_t ... ted_States
that same country is currently engaging in an economic ww3, expanding into global markets
Its also on the cusp of military expansion beyond already illegally invading sovereign nations like Tibet during a time the US was pretending to be policing communism (like in South Korea and Vietnam).
