I keep encountering the argument that "Anyone who hates Hillary just hates her because she's a strong woman and that intimidates them". This couldn't be further from the truth. I hate Hillary because she is NOT a strong woman. Her one and only actual political contribution to Bill Clinton's presidency got her laughed back into the kitchen. And as far as being a senator goes, she's little better than a celebrity-turned-politician. She talks a lot without saying anything, contributes her name to discussions without actually saying anything, and basically, all her success is due to nostalgia for the days of Billy.

But let's go back to the whole "strong woman" thing.

Hillary is a weak woman. She has no substance. The myth of her having political experience is bullcrap.

If you want a strong woman politican, look no further than Barbara Mikulski. You've very likely never heard of her, but she's a senator from my home state of Maryland. She's served on the Senate since 1987, and before that she served in the House.

Moreso, she's a real liberal, not a fake one like Hillary. She wasn't born into politics - she started as a single person activist and eventually ended up on a citizen's council, and from there got into the state level of politics.

Senator Mikulski voted against military action in Iraq, not just this time around, but during Desert Storm under George HW Bush's tenure. She has also promised to block military action in Iran.

She has also tackled an issue that very few senators have gone after - predatory lending.

And aside from the very first election she ever participated in, she has yet to lose one.

I don't agree with a whole lot of Senator Mikulski's positions. She's anti-gun whereas I'm rabidly pro-gun, she's pro-illegal-immigrant which I detest. But what I respect about her, is that she votes and acts based on what she believes in, not on what is going to sound good next to her name.

So there you have it. A female candidate much better and much more suited for the job than Hillary.

Interesting. I also disagree with what you claim are her stances on guns and immigration. But, as with Kucinich from my home state, I have to respect any politician who is actually willing to stand by their principles, even if I disagree with them. This does not mean I would ever vote for them- I require a tad bit more than honesty from a candidate, that is simply an initial qualifying factor for me to consider voting for them. I've grown quite pessimistic about this next election cycle. Obama and Hillary, with nearly identical positions, are both too socialistic for my tastes and I don't trust them to fulfill any of their campaign promises anyways. McCain is a psychotic war hawk, and I worry that he'd start WWIII. Romney and Huckabee both have tax plans that would devalue the dollar and send our economy tumbling headlong into a full-blown depression. Meanwhile, Ron Paul, the only honest, competent candidate running, hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Republican nomination.
