I have never been to a protest before. I have no one to go with if I am followed. But after learning what these sick bastards are really up to, I feel I need to do something about the Cult of Scientology. I will be taking Mace in case I'm followed. It's supposed to be no weapons, but i'll be damned if i'm going to be a victim.

Is anyone else here going to 3/15 and what are your plans for it?

what in the world are you going on about ?

are we in imminent danger of being transported back to the home planet or something?

inquiringly,

Merle

No, I prefer to leave such an obscure movement to wallow in its own pathetic idiocy. My advice would be not to be too rash with the mace. If you make one of them out to be a martyr you'll lend undue credibility to their cause and make yourself out to be a bigoted oppressor.

... or you could join the chess club instead. I mean, just think of that short redheaded chick with the glasses who always wins the tournaments. You could be the first guy to defeat her, and then you can both watch Tarantino films together on the weekends. But no, you just had to stay up all night reading the Scientology forums, popping expired Adderalls, your veins growing fat with pure, unbridled hatred.

With that said, go after Tom Cruise. He's obviously possessed by the spirit of L. Ron Hubbard, so if he falls, the movement will surely crumble.

HA HA HA!! ! I find Syd's comment very funny.

But I do agree with his sentiment, there are usually better things to do than fight scientology. Protesting them makes them look like victims of religious prejudice. Letting the losers be will let them rise or hopefully fall on their own failings and idiocy. Just memorize their list of lawsuits and actions against the government and bring them up whenever religion pops up, if you have a good sense of humor you might even get people to hate scientology AND think well of your contribution to the conversation.

The only way you can be a "victim" is if you give them your address or phone number. Then they will junk mail bomb you for years (happened to me).

It might. If they were actually a religion, instead of a very dangerous corporation with the sole purpose to earn as much money as possible by exploiting honest people that are looking for answers.
The only difference, really, is that usually corporations only devastate their victims physically, while CoS also do it psychologically.

But that is a card they might play. That's a possibility, yes.

Who're they going to sue, though?

Well, they are pretending to be a religion though and that is why that card is especially dangerous.

Exactly. I originally got involved in the movement by putting up fliers and through "Dollar Bombing" I'm thinking about going to the next protest. They are a dangerous cult, and they definitely have a hard on for people like us. They think we are "degraded beings" who don't deserve any help. They actually spend money thring to influence the government to help them in their crusade to ban psychiatry (without paxil, I wouldn't be able to deal with my anxiety problems). In fact, John Travolta's son is autistic, and is kept from getting help by their policies.

Visit whyaretheydead.net for other information on their abuses of the mentally ill, or exscientologykids.com for other heinous f**kery this cult engages in. I've had enough, and so have many others. People might ask why I go after them instead of the vatican kiddie-fiddlers or the blood for oil campaign in Iraq.

First and foremost, They are a Fascist organization which has attempted takeovers and infiltration of several government agencies. The cult may be on the decline right now, but the Nazis seemed to be on the way out for a while, too. (First person to mention Godwin's law loses an organ of my choice) Secondly, this is a fight we can actually win. People are actually coming out to corraborate our claims, emboldened by our actions. We've caused a wave of silent dissent among members who are still too afraid to leave.

I'd be careful messing with that cult of scientology. I've heard some pretty freaky sh.. about them. They make sure no one puts them in the negative spot light. I saw a few websites of ppl who's deaths were mysterious but were linked to the church of scientology. Even the followers "died" brutally. When I mean brutal, I mean the suicides did not look at all like suicides. You'd wonder why no one's really spoken up about them. They also have a lot of money that's backed them up. Just make sure you know what you're doing. Normally any protest is good but know what you're protesting about rather than just against.

And that's exactly why the Co$ should be stopped. Like I said, I may or may not even go (Gas prices are going up again, and college students are poor) but i'm still doing my part.

Mark Bunker, Tory Magoo, Arnold Lerma, Jesse Prince (who was basically second in command for a while) Plenty of people speak out, but no one's really been listening. Until now.
