Could Obama be the Antichrist?
My dad thinks Obama is the antichrist. With my anxiety I get from the aspergers that gave me some trouble, thinking about how the world would be so close to the end. Im a christian though so I know Im going to heaven.
But then my mom got an email with some evidence saying obama was the antichrist from the bible. Not only did that give more proof, but it showed more then my dad believed Barrack was the AC. There a lot of youtube videos and articles on the internet that say the same thing too.
What do you guys think? What do I think? I think you need to get right with God before the end comes.

He kinda fits, but there have been several historical people who have fit the bill it one way or another but in the end they didn't fit ALL of the criteria. Right now Obama's charisma (like hitler had not saying he's like hitler just saying they both speak/spoke very well) and the fact he's practically risen out of nowhere (like Napoleon Bonaparte who also united much of the "world" at that time) seam to fit the anticrist description. We kinda definatively say he IS the AC unless he becomes president and then proceeds to fulfill the entire prophecy, close doesn't count. It is a bit scary... don't get too worked up about it though God made this stuff hard to predict accurately for a reason. We aren't supposed to know the time and place. However, he was kind enough to give us signs to look for (found in the books of Daniel and Revalation).

Are you serious?
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. The e-mail is spam, chain-letter.
It's all just conspiracy theories. Just as you can find conspiracy theories about Obama, you can also find a lot about Bush (who, as we all know, is Republican and Christian) and probably Hillary Clinton and John McCain as well.
It's sad to hear your parents are convinced. (I doubt they are, i hope you have misinterspreted something they said...)
Politics is far to serious to turn into conspiracy theories and spam.
(I won't tell you about my own politic opinions, i think we wouldn't be able to understand each other's point of view.)

We had neighbors who were real preechy nondenominationals back when I lived with my parents and when I talked to their son just on some of the Revelations stuff he mentioned that the antichrist would have survived some wound (not sure if its more metaphorical or physical) which people can't figure out how anyone could. I haven't really heard that about anyone, I know McCain took a heck of a beating at Hanoi but I don't think it was anything beyond broken limbs, malnutrition, or the usual stretching or water torture techniques which are unlikely to cause much other than a heart attack.
Still, while I was raised on the bible, I still can't get my head around a god who's as black and white as most churches preach - if that is real and there will be some terrible leader I'd almost think he/she will be a catalyst for at least making people wake up and face a lot of the things that they've been hiding out from reality on. Life seems to be really about learning, gained integrity by trial and pain, and that's what I'd imagine a sequence of events like that would be about.

Basically the anti-christ is Satan's attempt at out doing Christ, God will allow it to succeed for a few years and then it will be overthrown and thrown into "the lake of fire" this will be the begining of satan's ultimate defeat when God will get rid of him once and for all. We can only speculate as to why so many things have to happen before God makes his ultimate attack against Satan, but as christians we trust he knows what he's doing. It's a bit ironic because my dad is currently taking our sunday school through the book of Daniel, which in many ways is easier to understand than revelation yet parallels it in the prophecies of the end times.
Here is an excerpt from Daniel first is his vision and next is the interpretation, maybe it will help clarify some things...

Dan 7:7-12
7 "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast — terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.
8 "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
9 "As I looked,
"thrones were set in place,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.
10 A river of fire was flowing,
coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
and the books were opened.
11 "Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. 12(The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.)
NIV

Dan 7:19-27
19 "Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws — the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell — the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.
23 "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
26 "'But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.'
NIV
The "small horn" is the anti-christ. There is another reference to it in Daniel Chapter 8 but I won't take up anymore room to paste it.

given that we keep wasting what we have on earth.......... it's a no-brainer that things will come to an end... and even as someone mentioned already... X, X, X,X....X.... ect people have ALREADY been thought of as the antichrist..... given how probability works... it's only a matter of time before stuff hits the fan and then we all play musical chairs to blame someone...
i think no matter who will be president, that the US will get nuc'ed... at the very least.

I need to brush up on my Bible knowledge (I'm not a believer anyway). But, from what I remember, I think that Obama actually does fit the description of the Anti-Christ. Isn't the Anti-Christ supposed to be a "false prophet" of sorts? Many people have fallen for Obama's "change" and "hope" rhetoric, especially the young and idealistic. The Obama hysteria has gotten to the point that whenever Hillary wins a state, the Obama fanatics accuse the Clinton campaign of committing "voter fraud".
I totally support Hillary, but in a way I'm kind of hoping that Obama wins the Democratic nomination and eventually the Presidency. Not that I think he's qualified enough to be the President, and I doubt that a black man can actually win the Presidency. But in a way, I hope that Obama does become President. The reason is that I want the Obama fanatics to see for themselves that his "change" and "hope" will really amount to nothing. After all, the people sure do get what they deserve...
No. There's also a whole website dedicated to showing that Bush is the AntiChrist. All of it is a load of bull.
I think Obama is either an idiot or a liar (though both could certainly be true) but I don't view him as evil incarnate, I simply disagree with his proposed policy measures.

I haven't been tracking the Democratic race too closely, but I read that there were some irregularities in New Hampshire. Pre-election polls, exit polls, and hand-counted ballots all matched each other, but told a different story than did the Diebold voting machines.
I've heard the explanation for urban vs rural and what areas did and did not have Diebold voting machines, and they may very well hold up, but it doesn't help that the guy in charge of counting votes for Diebold in NH was a convicted cocaine trafficker.
Note: I'm not really looking for an argument over any irregularities in NH, they may or may not have been an issue, I frankly don't care too much at this point. But to dismiss out of hand any claim of election fraud, especially in this country, is just plain dishonest. Our electoral system is a pitiful joke, and there is very little evidence I have seen that would suggest we really have consistently fair elections.
