Quote:
A children's puppet show featured on Hamas TV shows a child stabbing President Bush to death.

"Who are you to come here and threaten me?" Bush says in the puppet show video. "You are on my own turf, you little child, you. Get out."

The child tells Bush that he killed his father in the Iraq war, which made him an orphan.

"I have come to take revenge with this sword — revenge for my mother and my sisters," the child puppet says. "You are a criminal, Bush."

"I will kill you, Bush, because that is your fate," the child says before stabbing Bush repeatedly.

The show aired on Al-Aqsa TV on March 30.

I know, it's amazing, isn't it? Hamas advocating murder. Shocking, just shocking!
How shocked are you, on a scale of 1 to 10?

It's pretty sad when a people believes that its only hurdle to success is that not enough Jews are dead.
The fact that the Palestinians are the most well-funded "oppressed" group in the entire world, while existing in a thriving, free democracy with advancement opportunities for all who wish to apply themselves, and that they still manage to cram their able minds into Dark Ages thinking (i.e. when polled, the majority is always -- every single time -- in favor of more barbaric homicide bombings of friendly Israeli civilians), kind of makes me not so shocked.

And yet, even though Hamas is an obvious, self-admitted terrorist organization, and a pathetic excuse for any high-profile organization, many American liberals are still totally on board with Hamas' policy of continual violent, murderous ambush of the innocent.

Children's shows here in the States have similar violent content. Ever seen South Park? "Blame Canada!"

Well, the difference is that the South Park creators aren't actually killing Canadians. See, it's a fantasy-versus-reality thing. One is on TV, whereas the other one leaves you dead and bleeding in the street.

I'm not sure what metric you would use to imply that the Palestinians have a thriving economy with an unemployment rate of 40%.

I'm talking about Israel, of course.

How can the Palestinians be considered a part of Israeli society? They can't vote in Israel and will never be allowed to vote in Israel. They're lucky if they're even allowed to work in Israel.

Oh, has Bush been stabbed to death by Palestinians? I must not have been paying much attention to the news...

Uh... Wrong, and wrong again. :? Where are you getting your misinformation?

Palestinians serve on Israel's Parliament, the Knesset. Many Palestinians are quiet wealthy and well-established in Israel.
Where should I even begin educating such ignorance as yours...?

Israel certainly doesn't have its hands clean in any sense of the word, either. Just recently it was announced they were adding another 1000 homes to a settlement in Palestinian territory. It's a long term shell game...they'll make a big show of tearing some settlements down and six months later they're building more somewhere else.

This survey should have included two other options:

0 for people not at all surprised, and
11 for people that want to give 110%.

No, arab Israelis sit on the Knesset, and they had to fight to get there. The people of the Palestinian territories are not considered citizens of Israel and cannot vote in Israeli elections. Nor will they ever be allowed to vote in Israeli elections because Israel was started as a Jewish state. If Palestinians could vote in Israeli elections they sure as hell wouldn't have elected a PM like Ariel Sharon.

Wikipedia says:
Quote:
The total Palestinian population worldwide is estimated to be between 10 and 11 million people, over half of whom are stateless, lacking citizenship in any country.[5] Palestinians are predominantly Sunni Muslims, though there is a significant Christian minority as well as smaller religious communities.

Most Palestinians alive today grew up in refugee camps or in exile. That hardly qualifies as a thriving economy.

For some reason I'm not as shocked as I probably should be. I think I'm so used to hearing children shoot eachother so much on the news near my area.

That's a problem when there's violence all around; one gets used to it. Still, do you worry about boarding a bus and getting blown to bits, are you afraid about people throwing rocks at you as you walk down the street because of your genealogy, do you avoid going to the outskirts of a border city because of rocket fire, etc? Israelis have to get used to this, but it is a hard life. What's worse is if Israel takes military retributive action and gets the blame for it; acts of aggression as continually done by these west side Arabs shouldn't go unchallenged or unpunished.
