I am so sick of the extreme liberal right wing parties, they make want to go insane  . The ultra liberals to want make healthcare mandatory (I support governemnt healthcare, but not forced just subsidized) and Neo Cons want to force thier religious agenda on everybody. I wish these two parties of morons could be replaced by people with at least some fresh new ideas or could at least be open minded. :(

The only politician I would have voted for right now is either obama (he has flaws too) or dennis kucinich. That is about it. I never really liked ron paul.

The only difference between Ultra liberals and neo cons is tehir views. In terms of radicalness and and open mindedness they are about the same.

The Democrats and Republicans are allied in keeping all other parties out to increase their power. It's kind of funny how both parties say how "bad" and "dictatoral" a one-party system is like a two-party system has so much more freedom.
They do such a terrible job running our country, and they know it. They're both working for corporations and special interests. They know that if they started allowing other people in, people would start voting for the third parties instead, therefore losing their lobbyist-paid trips to the Bahamas and whatnot.

Same for Great Britain with the Conservatives, Labour, and minority Liberal parties.

Winner-take-all elections with no run-offs lead naturally to a 2-party system because of the "Nader Effect," that is, 3rd parties are marginalized because they act as spoilers that cause the major party they are ideologically aligned with (such as the Greens and Democrats) to lose. The solution IMO is proportional representation and run-off elections. Having some seats in Congress filled by proportional representation would let 3rd parties have a voice and run-off elections would get rid of the Nader Effect.
