Have you guys heard about this disease? Its called Suburban Disorientation Disease (SDD).
It was detected by scientists based in New England in the late 1990s. Its completely new to me, but I found this article in the new England journal of medicine.
"In its most severe form, the SDD have document itself to be deadly. There is however treatments available, such as removing the patient from all types of residential suburban areas.
The main symptoms is both psychical and psychological. They include: muscle/heart pain, dizziness, extreme imaginary thinking/obsessions about suburbs, I strong desire for everything to look the same, such as buildings and gardens, feelings of discomfort when forced to leave a suburban area, etc.
The exact cause of the disease is unknown. However, since the disease was first detected, many theory's have been presented. One of the most accepted theory's states that the disease is a form of strong dependency, both physical and psychological dependency.
Very little scientific material is available for scientists as of today, but SDD is believed to be some complex form of dependency syndrome."
