Have you ever came up with philpsophy quotes before?

I have done it a few times with quote I made and somehow they make people feel better.

One Quote I mention to a friend of mine,

Myth is the history we question,
History the myth we accept

I came up with one based loosely on Descartes Cogito Ergo Sum.

Mine is Philosophy for stupid people - "I don't think, therefore I'm not sure".

Fortune cookie writers are quite good at this.

At the moment, I can't think of any particular zingers that I came up with myself.

"Without a conformist society to rebel against there would be no art. Without overly earnest people to make fun of there would be no comedy. Without death to come to terms with there would be no philosophy. Without suffering to endure there would be no compassion. Without conflicts to solve there would be no society."

"Art exists to sandblast away the hard crust of banality that crystallizes around our perceptions, not to make that banality universal."

"What if everything you believe is true?"

"Intellectualism is the most refined form of decadence."

"The surest way to make hell on earth is to try to make heaven on earth."

I made these up myself. I think they are fine aphorisms.

Yes. I also have no trouble at all speaking in song. It's strange, though, because I always sound ridiculous when trying to quote others, and I cannot sing songs that I have commited to memory for beans. For some reason, though, when I'm making things up on the fly, I can say or sing some amazing things. I have even had people logging onto their computers, going, "Come on, you had to have gotten that from somewhere." Oh, it's even better when I get pissed off and start speaking in sermon.
